At Eden Gardens on Thursday night, Kolkata Knight Riders looked set to win – until a sudden shift unfolded. Then came Mukul, swinging hard, changing everything in less than thirty minutes. Kolkata batted first, putting up 181 for four. By the 14.4th over, Lucknow were struggling at 125 with six wickets down. At that point, losing seemed inevitable. Victory belonged to Lucknow, carried through by Mukul without any real challenge along the way. So strong was his knock that captain Pant stood speechless, unable to find phrases big enough.
