Hardik Pandya

IPL 2024: Aakash Chopra shares worry about Hardik Pandya’s after Ritika Sajdeh responds to Mark Boucher’s remarks.

Ex-cricketer Aakash Chopra shared his views on a remark made by Ritika Sajdeh, Rohit Sharma’s spouse. This remark made waves on the internet.

Not long ago, head coach Mark Boucher clarified why the Mumbai Indians (MI) selected Hardik Pandya over Rohit as their leader. Rohit has won the team the Indian Premier League (IPL) five times – 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020.

They picked Hardik for cricket-centered reasons, not personal ones, according to Boucher. Ritika contested Boucher’s remark, saying “So many things are wrong with this.”

Chopra, a 10 Test player, remarked that Ritika’s remarks would likely circulate broadly. He voiced anxiety for Hardik, indicating there would be immense pressure on him as the leader of MI.

Could Hardik Pandya successfully unite the team?

Chopra mentioned on his YouTube channel, “I listened to Boucher explaining their shift in captains. He cited cricket-related factors, but Ritika (Rohit’s spouse) disagreed, creating a buzz because she stated – ‘Numerous things are off about this’.”

“There’s uncertainty about what’s correct or incorrect. Mumbai Indians’ excellent team unsettles me a bit on paper, yet the main task for Hardik Pandya is to combine the team and steer them,” he further said.

In 2022, Hardik successfully captained the Gujarat Titans to their initial title. Plus, Titans almost won again last season, finishing as second place falling to Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Hardik started his IPL stint with MI in 2015 and played seven seasons until his departure in 2022. However, Rohit still plays a crucial role in MI, being with them since 2011.
