Women’s Premier League 2024, Live Streaming: All You Need To Know

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) is all set for its second edition, kicking off on February 23, 2024, with a match between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians. Last year’s finalists will battle it out at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This time around, the league will have two main venues: the first leg will run from February 23 to March 4 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, while the second leg will be held from March 5 to March 17 at New Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium (formerly known as Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium).

Mumbai Indian Women, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, are aiming to defend their championship title and secure another victory this season. In the recent player auction, Kashvee Gautam, an Indian uncapped player, received the highest bid of 2 Crore and was signed by Gujarat Giants. Australian player Anabel Sutherland also fetched the same amount.

Vrinda Dinesh, another uncapped Indian player, attracted attention with a hefty sum of 1.30 Crores and was acquired by UP Warriorz. The Royal Challenger Bangalore team will be captained by the talented Smriti Mandhana. However, some notable players like Chamari Athapaththu, Amy Jones, Tammy Beaumont, and Deandra Dottin will not participate in this year’s tournament as they went unsold in the auction.
