WPL 2024: Mumbai Indians unveil Indian peacock-inspired jersey.

After the first season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) was a big hit last year, everyone in cricket is excited for the second one to start.

The Mumbai Indians, who won last year by beating the Delhi Capitals, have shown off their jersey for WPL 2024. It looks great and was made by famous designer Monisha Jaising.

The jersey keeps the same blue and gold colors the Mumbai Indians always wear.

“The jersey’s design is inspired by the blue feathers of a peacock’s neck and the coral-peach color of the stem. We used a gradient pattern like the colors you see on a peacock,” said Mumbai Indians in a statement.

Harmanpreet Kaur and her team will wear the new jersey on February 23 in Bengaluru when they play against the Delhi Capitals to start WPL 2024.

You can buy the player edition jersey for Rs 3,999 on the Mumbai Indians’ website.

Last year, Mumbai won six out of their eight matches to make it to the Eliminator round.

Nat Sciver-Brunt from England was the top scorer for Mumbai with 332 runs in 10 innings, averaging 66.40 with a strike rate of 140.08. Harmanpreet (281 runs) and Hayley Matthews (271 runs) also did well. Hayley was also the joint-highest wicket-taker, getting 16 wickets in 10 matches and winning the Player of the Series award.

Harmanpreet, Hayley, and Sciver-Brunt want to lead and support the younger players to help Mumbai keep the title.
